Golf Green mimics the contours of outdoor greens, offering a lifelike indoor golf experience. Initially designed for a commercial setting, the project scaled down to a 4’x8’ prototype with two 4’x4’ modules. To enhance cost efficiency, the original 30” topographical range changed to a more economical 6” range per module. This design sets the stage for future expansion, with plans to add more modules to create larger, more realistic indoor putting greens.

• Putting Surface Design
  The putting surface is where users stand and putt. It serves as the primary space for putting activities, designed to provide a realistic and stable experience. This surface mimics the feel of outdoor greens, allowing golfers to practice with the same precision and feedback they would get on a real course. The design ensures the surface stays consistent, even as the topography changes underneath.
• Sub-surface Support Structure
  The sub-surface support structure lies beneath the putting surface. It links to the actuators through a custom interface, providing a reliable foundation for the overall structure.
• Actuator Tops Interface
  The actuator tops interface connects the sub-surface to the linear actuators. These components facilitate movements and adjustments from the actuators to the putting surface. This precise control ensures each topographical change is accurately reflected on the surface, creating an authentic putting experience.

The combination of a realistic putting surface, a sturdy sub-surface support structure, a precise actuator tops interface, and a motor-driven lead screw mechanism provides a practical, cost-effective solution for golfers practicing indoors.
