Spencer Rogers

Spencer Rogers is the President of Vibrant IP. He is an experienced patent broker and business development professional with extensive negotiation, valuation, and intellectual property management expertise.

Mr. Rogers has evaluated over 600 intellectual property portfolios and successfully negotiated over 150 patent licenses and acquisitions in a broad range of fields, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, artificial intelligence, chemistry, physics, software, and engineering. He knows first-hand what it takes to monetize intellectual property and is an expert at identifying and executing intellectual property transactions.

Mr. Rogers has served as Director of Innovation and Technology Commercialization at Louisiana State University (LSU) and Associate Director of Technology Transfer at Brigham Young University. While at LSU and BYU, Mr. Rogers worked closely with inventors to evaluate and license hundreds of intellectual property assets and was
responsible for identifying and valuing commercial opportunities, negotiating license and sale agreements, and managing patent portfolios.

Mr. Rogers is an inventor of eight U.S. patents and founded, built, and exited seven companies whose products range from an intellectual property and license commercialization platform to a portable emergency stove. Mr. Rogers has also designed and run a business accelerator in Eastern Europe, run a Silicon Valley-based not-for-profit, and negotiated with or advised executives worldwide, including Canada, China, Europe, South America, and Ukraine. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French.

Mr. Rogers and his wife enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. They have a home in Utah and a home in Louisiana and split their time between the two.
