Aseptic Non-Touch Technique (ANTT) is defined by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (2012) as a specific type of aseptic technique providing a common practice language for infection control.

ANTT is the internationally accepted gold standard for infection control.

ANTT applies to all clinical procedures. However, we are specifically focused on ANTT for non-surgical medical procedures (Standard ANTT), both inside and outside the hospital environment.

Problem

Current medical packaging must be fully removed for the device to be used.

When a device is entirely exposed, ANTT is a complex and resource-intensive process. It demands time, specialized clinical training, good hospital infrastructure, and equipment and resource availability.

In many real-world scenarios, achieving ANTT is challenging or impossible.

Solution

We have developed an ANTT compliance-driven barrier system that protects the sterility of each single-use device during any medical procedure.

Integrated patented features enable the device to be used from within the barrier system without hindering the user. Progressive exposure tear lines allow selective exposure of device key parts, so only the necessary portion of the device is exposed at the precise moment of use.

This standalone system enables gold-standard ANTT infection control independently of environmental factors.

It does not rely on hospital infrastructure, equipment and resource availability, user training, or preparation time.

The barrier system makes ANTT accessible to anyone, anywhere, facilitating infection control wherever care happens, whether inside or outside the hospital environment.

Importantly, the system can also be removed entirely if required by the user.
