Remote Medical Examination
- General Details
An integrated remote medical examination system combining sensor-enabled garments, a patented 12-lead EKG glove, and multi-parameter examination stations to replicate key components of an in-person physical exam. Invented by a practicing U.S. physician, the technology captures nine physical ECG leads with no derivation, simultaneous cardiac and pulmonary auscultation (sound cardiogram and sound pulmogram), blood pressure, and pulse oximetry, plus motorized percussion assessing tenderness, rebound tenderness, bowel sounds, abdominal wall tension, and tympanicity — all within portable, user-friendly form factors. Structured supports such as chairs may also be used to facilitate accurate sensor placement and repeatable data collection.
The system addresses limitations of traditional telemedicine by enabling objective, correlated physiological data acquisition beyond video-based consultations. The architecture is intended to support AI-assisted interpretation, with the computing device capable of establishing a diagnosis, recommending testing, and prescribing treatment directly from this data — extending relevance well beyond telemedicine into a broad range of conditions.
This portfolio is particularly relevant for telemedicine providers, digital health platforms, medical device manufacturers, defense and aviation health systems, retail healthcare networks, and payer-driven care models. Its modular design supports scalable deployment and expansion into remote monitoring, virtual triage, and decentralized care delivery.
